Dark Cloud: Set 400 years after a continent-spanning war, peace is shattered when General Flag awakens the Dark Genie, threatening to annihilate the world again. Players follow Toan, who, after surviving a catastrophe, is tasked by the Spirit King to use the Atlamillia to combat this new danger. As an RPG, Dark Cloud features randomly generated dungeons, monster battles, and the collection of Atla to restore villages. Players wield swords enhanced with power-ups and can recruit and control various characters, each requiring attention to their status during combat.
