Super Mario Land is the inaugural mobile entry in the Mario series, launched with the Game Boy. Celebrated as the console's best launch title, it features classic side-scrolling gameplay where players navigate Mario through 12 levels across four worlds to rescue Princess Daisy from the villain Tatanga. The game includes unique forced-scrolling shooting segments and offers bonus minigames for extra lives and upgrades. Players face five distinct bosses, each with unique strategies. Unlike previous titles, Mario uses Superballs instead of fireballs, and upon completion, players can replay levels with increased difficulty.
