Mega Man X5 (Rockman X5) is a 2000 action role-playing game by Capcom for PlayStation, set in the 22nd century where humans coexist with Reploids. The evil Maverick organization, led by the revived Sigma, threatens Earth via a space station weapon poised for destruction. Players navigate through eight stages, battling bosses like Crystal Man and Gravity Man to ultimately confront Sigma. Gameplay remains similar to previous titles, allowing players to choose bosses and collect their weapons. New support items, Energy Tanks and Mystery Tanks, aid players in restoring vitality and recharging special weapons while avoiding a damaging virtual virus.
