The Suffering follows Torque, a death row inmate convicted of murdering his family, as he is transferred to Carnate Island prison during a catastrophic earthquake. This event unleashes malevolent monsters resembling the island's long-dead inhabitants. Surviving the initial onslaught, Torque, along with a few inmates and guards, must confront these creatures while uncovering the island's sinister history. As he battles for survival, Torque seeks to unravel the truth behind his past and the horrors that haunt Carnate Island.
