Resident Evil follows the S.T.A.R.S. Alpha team's investigation into the disappearance of Bravo team in the Arklay Mountains after their helicopter crashes. As they explore a nearby mansion, they encounter zombies and face survival challenges. Players can choose to control either Chris Redfield or Jill Valentine while navigating the revamped mansion, which includes new areas and enemies like Lisa. The 2015 HD remaster enhances graphics and sound while offering alternate character models and control schemes, retaining the original's core experience with added complexities, such as the need to destroy zombies with fire to prevent their return.
